Relax! You've got plenty of time before you have to focus too much on the SAT. Freshman year should be about focusing on your studies, building your GPA, and figuring out what activities you like. Start thinking about taking the PSAT next fall. More for freshmen
You've got some time before you have to get into intense SAT prep, but you should be thinking about it. Continue to focus on challenging classes and consider taking SAT Subject Tests that correspond with your AP subjects. If you haven’t taken the PSAT, you should be prepared to take it next fall. Plan on signing up for our PSAT 101 course, so you’re absolutely ready to ace this test. Also, think about SAT preparation, and a practice SAT (it's free, online, and no-risk!). More for sophomores
By now, you should have already taken the PSAT and you’re waiting to get your score. But don’t wait to start prepping for the SAT. We recommend you start preparing now, so that you can take the SAT early next year or in the spring, depending on what works with your school schedule. If you take the SAT early in your junior year, you’ll give yourself plenty of time for a second try, as well as for SAT Subject Tests. Also, you can take advantage of the refresher course included in your enrollment!* More for juniors
